This is my favorite recipe from Anthony William’s book, Liver Rescue, and it is one of the recipes we have in our  9-Day Detox to Transform Your Life. The combination of hot and crispy “Latkes” (potato pancakes) - without any oil - together with a refreshing salad, is my idea of heaven.  This recipe is easy to make, filling, and loved by children. The saltiness...

I’m always looking for vegan recipes that incorporate whatever it is I have growing in abundance, so when lychee season arrived and a friend suggested Lychee Ceviche – I knew I had to give it a try. So, off I went to pick some lychee, lime, lemon balm, mint and rau ram leaves (Persicaria odorata - also known as Vietnamese coriander) from the garden. Before we go to the recipe,...

  • Nutritive, demulcent - Raw, gluten free, vegan

These crackers are the perfect springtime snack. Spring would naturally be a gluten free season as the winter stores of wheat would have either been used up or spoiled by this time of year. I was looking for a healthy spring alternative to bread that would also support and facilitate the body's natural processes during the spring. The ingredients in these crackers have been specifically...

All leafy greens – lettuce, spinach, Swiss chard, watercress... - are so much more than they seem. Often we believe that leafy greens are just roughage and difficult to digest. This is not true. Leafy greens are actually almost pre-digested foods, that “scrub and massage” the linings of our digestive system as they go down, loosening old yeast, mold and fungus, along with...

Banana bread became one of my favorite breakfast foods or afternoon tea snacks from my 2 years travelling Australia. The Aussies love their banana bread and it was available everywhere. I’ve been living in NYC for almost 18 months now and had long forgotten about this delicious bread until recently; discovering an Australian brunch cafe in Greenwich village. It has become my favorite...

This summer my husband and i took a trip to Harriman state park (New York) with a day of hiking planned. Just a few minutes into our hike we stumbled across endless stretches of wild blueberry bushes. • An Anti-Stress Food That Helps Prevent Cancer, And More

Sweet Potatoes are an incredibly nutritious food that is easy to digest. They promote productive bacteria in the stomach, small intestine, and colon while starving out harmful bacteria and fungi. This helps the body to produce B12, prevents the development of megacolon, and helps to alleviate the narrowing of the intestinal tract caused by chronic inflammation. Sweet potatoes are optimal...

This is a  Medical Medium recipe, with some changes made by Medical Medium Mommy. It is one of my favorite recipes to have while on a cleanse - It is easy to make, tastes great the next day, and leaves me feeling satiated - not a small feat when on a cleanse. To make it fat and oil free, simply omit the sesame seeds and oil (I think both options are equally good).   This stir-fry...

  • The healing power of Coconuts

As an avid lover of coconut curries, I decided to take a closer look at the healing benefits of coconuts and was happy to learn how healthy they are. The tree seems to know...
